The legally protected habö ISS -Inward-Spanning-Screw is our latest innovation for quick and simple fixing of round rods or railing pipes. Fastenings that have to be loosened for assembling or repositioning can now be adjusted by simply tightening or un-tightening the Inward-Spanning-Screw.
The system is highly versatile which means that you can either use metric thread screws or standardised nuts for clamping. Consequently, complex tapered screw threads which are used in traditional fixings become redundant.
The habö ISS is an all-purpose fixing. Thanks to its metric thread it already is in great demand and field-tested in the construction of furniture and machinery as well as in trade fair and plant construction. Just imagine the new opportunities this product offers.

Explanation of the functional principle:
The Inward-Spanning-Screw (ISS) clutches by flush tightening. The resulting strain leads to an interaction between the load flanks of the inside and outside thread (the alignment of the inclined planes causes force intensification). Due to the caused displacement, the diameter of the drill hole is reduced and the internal components are clutched uniformly around its circumference.
